Baker Communications is a Corporate Training and Consulting company. Our offerings include peak performance consulting engagements as well as the design, development, and delivery of customized and standardized training courses. We are looking for Senior Instructional Designers to join our team.
We currently have full-time, part-time, and 1099 contractor positions open. Compensation is highly dependent on individual credentials.
Background Requirements
- Location: virtual / remote
- Background in sales training, leadership development, or communications required — 3–5 years in curriculum development
- Background in change management or organizational development a plus
- Strong adult-learning background
- Senior-level experience
- Experience with ADDIE or equivalent instructional design methodology
- Knowledge of e-learning development tools and software (Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to connect with an audience at an emotional level; ability to write experiential training courses
- Knowledge of various creative treatments and effective use of graphics, UX, and interactions
- Skilled at writing effective copy, instructional text, and audio/video scripts
- Skilled in performing discovery with clients, holding conversations to the C-level
- Know how to effectively use SMEs
- Familiarity with LMS integrations for developed content
