Get the Brochure See What You'll LearnManagers are busy — asked to hit goals, manage pipeline, support their team, and solve problems fast. Coaching can become rushed, unclear, or too focused on numbers, looking at the result without coaching the behaviors that caused it. This workshop helps managers slow down, ask better questions, and use coaching conversations to build accountability and action.
Numbers show what happened, but they don't always show what needs to change.
Managers may jump in with answers instead of helping the person think through the situation.
Without a clear plan, a conversation can feel helpful in the moment but not lead to real change.
Schedules, pressure, and urgent work can make coaching feel hard to fit in.
Understand the link between coaching and accountability
Focus on the leading indicators, behaviors, and actions you can coach
Recognize why lagging indicators only tell part of the story

Use the GROW model — Goal, Reality, Options, Way Forward — to guide conversations
Ask stronger questions that help team members find a way forward
Practice coaching in real scenarios through triad role-plays
Leave with a personal coaching action plan
See how small changes in coaching and accountability create better results over time.
Explore what accountability means and why coaching should focus on behaviors and leading indicators.
Learn the difference between lagging and leading indicators so you know where to start.
Examine traps like coaching only from reports or leaving without clear next steps.
Guide conversations through Goal, Reality, Options, and Way Forward.
Practice in triads using real scenarios — coach, team member, and observer.
Decide who to coach, what to address, when to meet, and how you'll support them.
Practical, simple, and easy to apply — participants learn the model, practice it, and leave with a clear plan for their next coaching conversation.
A single focused session covering accountability, leading vs. lagging indicators, and the GROW model.
Real scenarios where each participant coaches, is coached, and observes — closing with a personal action plan.
The Scenario exercise was less meaningful for the second round, as we merely switched positions with our partner and thus already had inside knowledge of the other position, and had also just been through the exact scenario.
The session was good but it did not talk about what happens when coaching doesn?t work. It assumes that coaching is always going to produce the desired effect and we know from experience that it is not often the case.
I think the role playing was very good. It allowed you to experience both sides of the given situation.
Engaging and kept attention, also was considerate of scheduled time.

“I am generally apprehensive when attending training/leadership/coaching sessions but felt more relaxed and actually enjoyed participating in these sessions. A huge thanks to the instructor for keeping us all at ease and keeping the lessons fun but still meaningful and thought-provoking.”
