Exceptional Presentations

I find the course to be excellent. I was intimidated by being stopped every two words for corrections. I'm sure it was designed that way for a purpose but i feel the same result could be attained in a more pleasant fashion. Again, I learned a lot.

This class was extremely helpful in practicing presentations. The instructor's immediate feedback of each taped presentation, gave me a chance to make an improvement to my style during the next presentation and again make adjustments as necessary.

All of our shareholders and an additional group of frequent presenters spent two days with the trainers from Baker. It was an EXCELLENT experience! Although it can be a long investment, I have no doubt that this will increase our pursuit hit rate.

The instructors presented information in thorough and informative manner which translated into massive results. All participants public speaking and confort drammatically improved every exercise due to critical feedback, and effective instruction.

I feel much more comfortable formatting a speech and getting up in front of an audience after being in class with the instructors. I never realized how much I needed to work on my nonverbal delivery and now I've added those things to my skillset!

I got a great insight to developing a presention and techniques of delivering it. I now understand why i need to know my audience, I want to tell them "What I want to tell them", I want tp "Tell them" and I want to "Tell them what I've told them"

I learned a lot in this class. I had trouble with public speaking and presentations but after this class I am more comfortable with presentations. I learned many different skills that will make me a better presenter. I will recommend this course.

Genuinely, this was the best training I have ever received at work! The instructors were very helpful and kind. The course content was fantastic and truly teaches you how to present better. Every individual in our session improved over the 2 days

This class was well instructed and extremely beneficial. I began presenting last for my opening and by the end of the class my confidence increased where I volunteered to present first for the closing. I think that says a lot about my experience!

Exceptional Presentations as such a great course, this was one of the best courses I have taken so far. There was so much to take away, we got to apply all the tools the instructors were providing us with right then and there with live feedback.

1. This was my first time taking a class covering this topic. It was very educational and eye opening. There was definitely good material and objectives covered. I hope to be able to incorporate this into my growth as an individual and employee.

At the dawning of a new initiative to expand our training offerings to our customers, I sought for a seminar to train our field personnel in how to be effective presenters. The results of this seminar have been all that I had hoped for and more.

My first Baker Training 11 years ago was new to me and it helped me to be a better presenter moving forward. Now with virtual presentations, i have a lot more to take with me now as there are things i would have never considered with the method.

The instructor did an excellent job in presenting and teaching this class, I have never had presentation training and the layout structure to get prepared for my next presentation will definitely follow this format. Overall Great Job all around.

I have been to many Communication courses throughout my career (a 6 week program at University of Calgary, a 5 day course at Mount Royal College and mulitiple trainings sessions). By far the best training for presentations I have every received

One of the best professional training courses I've ever attended. I've found skills which will help me be much better at what I do, presentations used to make me nervous. I now have the tools to deliver them with impact and without the nerves!

This class was not at all what I had expected. I had expected powerpoints and the works. While getting me out of my comfort zone, this class was fun and had a work environment condusive to learning (with helpful critiques) rather than judging.

I went through an emotional cycle over the two day course. I was not comfortable at all knowing the only purpose of the class was to receive constructive criticism. But, the instructors coached and helped make the environment more comfortable.

The instructors (Joseph & the instructor) made you feel comfortable, provided key insight to the material and tools, knew how to be engaging and have fun! I learned that with some basic understanding my presentations can go from good to great!

At first I was not looking forward to giving presentations. I was really out of my comfort zone but I truly believe this helps you grow. I really enjoyed this class and enjoyed hearing others speeches. I also learned a lot about other plants!

The instructor s are wonderful facilitators with so many helpful tips. This course really pushed me out of my comfort zone and they had so many tools and insight that have given me confidence in giving exceptional presentations going forward.

I hate public speaking and if my boss hadn't signed me up I wouldn't have gone. But now that I've been through the course, I'm glad did it. It won't make you a great presenter in two days, but it will give you things to build upon and change.

The class did a good job dividing it into chunks. We spent two whole class periods devoted to developing a good presentation opener. I really liked that we didn't build an ENTIRE presentation, but we built an opener, closer, and 1 main point.

This course is a growth experience. It opens your options for improvement and development as a better person and professional. The instructors managed the course with excellency, allowing us to feel confident in incredible exposing sessions.

It was a great class. I know I will be a better speaker and be able to prep for presentations so I will have the confidence to teach the audience what needs to be taught. The instructors were great and energetic. I really enjoyed this class.

The instructor as a moderator is impeccable. Truly entertaining, witty, and bright. He kept us engaged, alert, and on our toes as you never know when you might be called upon. I would highly recommend his Exceptional Presentations training.

the fellows that presented their material were very well prepared and catered each input to the class to be as effective and useful as possible. please provide better audio/visual feedback next time. Maybe a dedicated webcam and microphone.

I started out with a very timid stance and voice.In the Exceptional Presentations activities, I got feedback on the correct level of projection for my voice. I'm confident my improved projection will greatly improve my future presentations.

This is one of the best presentation skills classes that I've attended. I think the hands on and videos were key. You can listen all day long to someone, but to get up and put into practice what you've been taught adds a whole new element.

I found the course to be highly effective at improving my ability to give a presentation. The activites developed my skills at speaking to an audience and creating an engaging and effective presentation. I definitely recommend this course.

The content of the presentation was very good, and I liked how the presenter asked each of us questions tp keep us engaged. I had issues with my microphone displaying as muted when it wasn?t, and the quality of the sound was poor at times.

It is a very good training with very effective tools. I belive that it lacks of more post training tools to keep you more engage and commited to improve. Also, the material used, specially audio visual equipmet is not of the right quality.

As discussed during the course this is the first time I have had the opportunity to attend a course on presentations and it was a great experience. The instructor is an exceptional presenter and a wonderful person to have spent time with.

An excellent program. It's not a sink or swim program, even though it feels somewhat that way. The only way to get better at presenting is ? presenting! So you present and learn. And it's a shared learning through suffering experience.

The workshop was very hands on and had us practicing automatically which was a bit nerve racking but helpful since you could put into practice what you are being taught. The group did a great job giving us the participants feedback.

very good training ! there is one thing i didnt appreciate which is the fact i had to pick a Presentation "topic" within the first 20 minutes w/o realizing this was the base of the rest of my trainings. I picked a hard topic :-)

What makes the instructor great is his ability to teach, energize, and motivate a group to want to learn. His experience and expertise allow him to be effective with groups having diversity in skills, styles, and personalities.

I noticed significant improvement throughout the 2 days of the course. Most notably, my pace and confidence got tremendously better. It's incredible to see the strides that, not only I made, but others in the class did as well.

The format of the class was great. It was small which made the hands on portion more personal. I also liked the progressive development through the different parts of the class. Extrememly helpfull during the learning process.

Being able to practice the skills we were being taught during the class was really helpful. This class was great at giving helpful feedback and making me feel comfortable presenting, which is something I normally dread doing.

There wasn't a place for general feedback, so I figured I'd leave it here. I really love the quick reference guide. Too often, we get huge books or guides that contain great information, but are too cumbersome to be useful.

I am terrible at organizing my thoughts. I want to make exceptional points and have trouble nailing down the right order or flow. This course has helped me outline my thoughts so that I can get my point across effectively.

I do tons of technical presentations for internal and external clients, and this is the very first time I realize how important projection, structure and gestures are to be able to deliver expectional presentations

Great class. Would recommend notifying students of the need for a topic prior to arrival at class. Having to come up with a topic on that short notice, arrival at class, was the most stressful part of the process.

Great course! But I would try to discuss training topics only with all participants in the room and not when participants are getting reviewed in separate room. I rather add 30 min than miss anything being said.

Very useful for me and I really liked sharing and learning with my colleagues. My only suggestion would be that when asking attendees to create workbook steps that they not be able to us e "pre-created" ppts.

It was a great class. I would've liked more time to prepare for each speech. I'd make it a two day class where you can take what you learned from day and present after you've practiced at home a few times.

In this prequel to the 2 day presentation course we'll be taking in a few months, we got a good introduction to what we'll cover. I believe I'll get more out of the full course because of this first step.

Practice makes better, how important is not only to prepare your presentation and information BUT to practice OUT LOUD. Flowing your ideas from your mind to your mouth helps to accommodate your thoughts.

"Exception Presentations" was the best class I have taken to learn about improving presentation skills. The repetive nature and cumulative approach of building skills reinforced the content really well.

Instructors were great. I would prep attendees more on what content they want to use throughout the training. By not having a solid topic, the effectiveness of the "hands-on" learning was diminished.

I think the instructor did a great job teaching us about effective presentations. She seemed to be very good at it herself which is why she was able to deliver such a smooth and content packed class.

I really enjoyed this training, it was incredible, and made me see things in such a new way of presenting. I will never view another presentation without thinking of this training!

Excellent class - this is the first presentation class I have been to. I learned so much! Not only a class for "new" presenters, but I saw more "polished" speakers learn and grow.

I really appreciated a different insight to speech giving AND presentations. I hear a lot about how to give speeches, but you don't hear much feedback on effective presentations.

This is the most useful course I have taken thus far at NASA. I didn't just go through and mark all 10's without thinking; I was very deliberate when giving this course all 10's.

Excellent program. I and the managing director for our training (product/industry; not Sales) and will use what I learned with my own department, and we present and train (daily)

I really learned a lot from the class, watching my associates inprove their skills was fun and enabled me to see how traing can make a great diffrence in your ability to speak.

It is interesting to have a course on presentation, presented to you and throughout the presentation so maybe of the best practices were displayed which reinforced the messages

It was a lot of information in one day, I do see the value of the 3 day course. The information was well organized and presented. The video and feedback were very valuable.

I am not one to feel comfortable speaking in from of my peers regardless of my confidence in content. The tools that were presented gave me more confidence in my abilities.

The course content was good, I really enjoyed the pointers on how to present (Posture, gesturing etc...). I was less interested in the structure and more in the mannerisms

This class was very helpful in developing my presentation skills. More importantly it helped me build and maintain my confidence when speaking to a large group of people.

The program was set up to facilitate growth and confidence regardless of comfort. I believe that every person in the training did grow and become more competent speakers.

It was a lot to pack into 2 days. I felt like if I had a week to work with the trainers, I would begin to overcome some of the bad habits and fears that I have developed.

I would recommend this course, The information was well organized and right on point. The class could be longer, two days is sufficient but a third day would be useful.

Really good info on posture, projection etc. As it was day before our presentation, content shouldnt have been in it as this confused me and made me more nervous
