Effective Communication & Listening

I was not thrilled about going to this class since I foolishly thought I had heard it all before. The truth is I had never heard it presented at the intellectual level used here that made me finally understand it versus just feel it.

I've taken several communications courses at the instructor and this was the best. I think having it online at Zoom though creates a buffer making it less awkward than others like that one I took on base where people started crying.

I thought the class was very well constructed and delivered. The instructor was engaging and built a level of comfort I haven't had in a public speaking class before. I would absolutely be interested in working with her again!

I really enjoyed this class and so could tell that the presenter was passionate about communication. I enjoyed the interaction and activities and found it very beneficial to learn more about how different people communicate.

"Really rely on the best intentions of others." I liked that quote quite much. We often think of ourselves and needs first before others without knowing the struggles or workload of who we are needing something from.

Thought it was a great course. Took another communication course that took about 20 hrs but covered the same content. The instructor is a really great teacher and presenter. Real world examples and cases. Nice job!

This course gave me a better understanding of what type of style I am when it comes to my behavior as well as other types. Asking good quality questions is key to effective communication. Listen with your heart!

The course worked for me as it proved I do know about people, my problem was not implementing what I know, I now feel that I can use the methods taught effectively combined with my own knowledge of people types.

The instructor Dollar was very on-point and insightful on his subject. It was amazing that he could identify which behavior category we fell into just by where we sat in the room and how we answered our phones.

The feedback section was really good. I found the last role play hard, because it seemed like the instructor was supposed to be frustrated and annoyed, so it seemed like a repeat of the previous role play.

I thought it was going to be just another Kumbaya session. But it was the best workshop I have ever been to and I have been to a lot. The course format was excellent and the facilitator was outstanding!

This class was great from the start. The zoom breakout groups was new to me and it provided the opportunity to really get to know the people in my group. It also got us to communicate right off the bat.

It was very engaging, the instructor did a fantastic job of leading and teaching us throughout the day on these topics, I feel like I walked away much more confident in my communication skills overall

The presentation, activities, and interaction was great to experience. When it comes to training, I want to engage and not sync out. At no point during the training did I experience this. this

I learned a lot about different kinds of communication I would have never thought about before this class. The presenter was excellent in how she explained all the aspects of the class.

This class helped me to understand the types of people that I deal with EVERYDAY. I feel like I may be able to communicate with most of them more effectively if I use what Ive learned.

This was a very high energy course and I have taken courses with similar subject matter but this course was refreshing because it was presented in a way I had not experienced before.

Class fostered great team communication and discussion between the groups. All attendees left with additional tools in their toolbelt and actionable items for implementation.

Arrived to class with a very specific goal. The course instructor was very good at emphasizing elements to achieve that goal. Excited to take this knowledge "to the field".

All of the activities really broke up the class and made it very enjoyable. I felt like I was able to retain more information in the way this class was taught.

Good class. Some got repetitive towards the end, but overall good. The instructor the presenter was energetic all the way through.
