The objectives of the Baker Effective Presentations: "One-on-One" Workshop are to provide basic presentation skills when persuading, educating, or informing an audience.
Specifically, this workshop focuses on teaching participants basic skills in structuring and delivering a presentation, using visual aids, and handling nervousness. Participants practice by preparing and delivering a real-life business presentation which, ideally, they will be delivering within 90 days of the workshop.
The participant, along with the Baker Communications' senior consultant, review each of the six digital recordings providing multiple viewpoints on each the participant’s progress.
- Six individual digital video recording exercises – The participatory nature of the course enables the participant to be digitally video recorded in a variety of communication situations. Participants learn by doing. (No other communication training workshop uses digital video recording this extensively in a one day session.)
- Six individualized coaching sessions – Feedback from all presentations is done in a one-on-one, personalized coaching session. Coaching is in-depth and designed to identify communication strengths as well as weaknesses.
On-Site Training: Will be tailored to the needs of the client organization and delivered on-site at a time and location of the clients choice. Many of the skills learned in this class are also covered in our monthly public Effective Presentation seminars.
