Job Opening: Inside Sales Representative

Baker Communications is a Corporate Training and Consulting company. Our offerings include peak performance consulting engagements as well as the design, development, and delivery of customized and standardized training courses.  We are looking for Inside Sales Representatives that can quickly drive new business as well as grow existing accounts.  Compensation for this position is highly dependent on individual performance.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Prospecting into net-new accounts to discover, develop, and close opportunities
  • Developing existing accounts through increasing spend on existing services and creating new revenues through additional services
  • Managing and closing web-based leads
  • Conducting remote client meetings via web presentations
  • Conducting occasional onsite visits with clients in the greater Houston area
  • Partnering with subject matter experts in product management and operations as needed at appropriate points in the sales cycle
  • Working Monday through Friday, standard business hours, at our corporate office in Houston reporting directly to the Inside Sales Manager

Preferred candidate attributes:

  • A strong willingness to be coached
  • Demonstrated success in exceeding quota, preferably in a direct sales capacity
  • At least 2 years of college education
  • Strong desire to work under a commission-based compensation structure with uncapped earnings
  • Live currently or willing to move within 20 miles of the Houston Westchase District
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and telephone skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively over the phone at all levels and across diverse cultures
